Jericho House’s 400th anniversary production of The Tempest, set in a Middle Eastern context, premiered in Jerusalem, and toured in locations around Israel and The West Bank before coming into London for a five-week run as part of the Barbican’s bite11 season.
As the production featured a previously unheard ‘score’ from the play, we carefully managed a news story to secure stand-out coverage on BBC Radio 4’s The Today Programme, The Observer, across BBC Radio 3, and the web. We then generated feature coverage and further news coverage about the tour in The Times, Guardian, Independent and on BBC Radio 2 and 3, to make this production an unmissable proposition. Naturally, we also secured the attendance of every leading theatre critic on press night.
