Riot has worked with CHEERIO Publishing ever since its launch in 2020. In 2023, we spearheaded the campaign for hero title Art is Magic, the first tell-all memoir by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller. Riot brought together the different strands of Deller’s work to create a cultural moment celebrating his extraordinary career. From engaging talent as varied as Jarvis Cocker and the Melodians Steel Orchestra UK to all-female prog Morris side, Boss Morris (last seen performing alongside Wet Leg at the Brits), our events programme brought the book to life from Glastonbury to Glasgow. Combined with a media strategy that delivered features in the Observer, Evening Standard and The Face and interviews on BBC 6 Music and NTS Radio, we catapulted the book into the Sunday Times bestseller list (a rarity for an art book!).
