Creating a live show for 1100 staff at the London Palladium
THE CHALLENGE
Penguin Random House UK, the largest publisher in the country, hired Riot to help them turn their annual staff conference into a memorable experience that would engage and inspire over 1100 colleagues.
RIOT SOLUTION
Working closely with the central brand and communications team, we helped deliver Penguin Voices – a live show at The London Palladium, in the heart of the West End. As expert storytellers, we helped design the creative narrative, bringing together over 20 of the most brilliant writers in the Penguin Random House UK stable into one seamless show. From narrative arc and script writing, to creative vision around talent and staging, and on the ground logistics, we shaped a performance that included the likes of Jamie Oliver, Michael Palin, Clare Balding, Philip Pullman, Michael Sheen and a barnstorming performance from the London Community Gospel Choir.
THE RESULTS
The show marked a sea-change in how Penguin Random House UK engages staff and showcases talent. Staff feedback was overwhelming positive and we have been hired for a second year.
